Baby, It's COLD Inside...

No, this wallpaper is NOT a mistake.

I Was thinking of the song "Baby, It's Cold Outside" when I made it. But in my case, it is cold INSIDE.

Michigan is in the middle of a cold wave. It is 11F degrees outside, with a windchill of -5. I'm sure other places, like Minnesota, maybe, are even colder than that.

But when I am working at my computer, I cannot forget the cold! My computer is in a room that used to be a porch. When it got enclosed years ago, it was not well insulated, and it has large windows that are very difficult to insulate.

So I am shivering in a room that is about 58 degrees right now, I think that is something like 13 degrees centigrade. I can wear lots of warm clothing, but the killer cold comes from the floor. It is basically a concrete slab with a thin layer of flooring covered by a carpet. (At least I think there is a thin layer of flooring, sure doesn't seem like it...)

So although I wear warm socks and shoes, my feet gradually turn into lumps of ice. My feet hate this room when it is cold out...

All this is to tell anybody reading this that when it get's this cold in Michigan, I am going to hang this wallpaper out on my profile. It means that I will not be on line much on a cold day. I might skitter in here to check my email, but I may not be around long enough to answer it, or leave comments on anyone's profile...not even smart alec ones to the people who deserve them... (you all know who you are! lol)

By the way, if anybody has started a COLD wallpaper group, let me know, and I'll join up. This wallpaper might be the coldest one on DN!

PS. The one good thing about this kind of weather is that maybe I'll get around to cleaning my cluttered closet for a change...since it is in a warmer room!
