Wallpaper Description:
The story behind this wallpaper...

Some of you looking at this wallpaper may have already read the story behind it, in my DN journal. I didn't have my own illustration for it until now, however.

I haven't washed my 1994 Ford Windstar in quite a while. A couple of days after I had the painful, slippery fall that pulled my right hamstring and gave my legs a bunch of bruises, my husband happened to spot on the front of my van, my handprint, and all of the marks that I made sliding down the front of it! When he told me that, I asked him to take some pictures of it, since I was still in pain and not very mobile at that time. This wallpaper is one of the photographs.

If I ever needed to prove to an insurance company that this accident happened, I sure have the evidence! LOL

I can laugh about my fall on Halloween now. I'm feeling much better. I'm still using a walker or a wheel chair to get around most of the time, but I'm taking less pain medication now and am getting more mobile every day. :) :) :)

PS. Here is the link to my journal in case you want to read the whole story.

PPS. I have written a fair amount of DN journal entries about mishaps that I've had from time to time. After I wrote about this fall, one of my best friends on DN asked me if I thought I had a jinx or something. My answer to that is, absolutely not! :)

What I do have, is a penchant for telling stories on myself. If something interesting or crazy happens in my life, I write it down. Some of the more unusual things end up in my DN journal... :P :D

A sense of humor is one of the best defenses that you can have in life, in my opinion. Humor has helped me to survive many challenging situations. If I can take some of my own experiences and give other people an opportunity to smile, or laugh with me, I'll do it.

Yes, my pride may indeed go before a fall, but by golly, I will have fun with it anyway! :D :D :D

That's right, humor is a great remedy for tears of pain. 8)
