The animals are correct. The sides of the taiji diagram they're on are incorrect. The Dragon represents yang, the white side. The Tiger represents yin, the dark side. The tiger was used as the symbol for yin for centuries in China. During one of the dynasties, an empress (her name escapes me) made the decision that the tiger was too masculine a symbol. She decided that the Chinese phoenix would be used instead. Today, folks use the tiger and the phoenix interchangeably to represent yin. I suppose it depends on your preference. The phoenix makes more sense. The tiger looks cooler though:).

White Tiger, , that symbolizes metal is a principal symbol of Yin. but Yin is dark and Yang is light. If they are to be on their own side the need to be switched per I Ching. I also like the piece.

I think this image is not correct. Though the dragon represents the Yang. The tiger is does not represent Yin. It is also Yang. So a Yin animal should oppose the dragon.
