The 23rd of July will be a day of mourning in my country, The Netherlands, for the 298 killed in the plane crash on the 17th of July 2014. 197 of whom were Dutch... Innocent men, women and 80 children on their way to their homes, jobs, holiday destinations, loved ones... Malaysian Airlines said the flight had 195 Dutch passengers, 44 Malaysian (including 15 crew members and two infants), 27 Australian, 12 Indonesian (including an infant), ten British, four German, four Belgian, three Filipino, one Canadian and one New Zealander on board. The plane crashed in a rebel-held area in the Ukraine, after apparently being hit by a rocket... The first bodies recovered from the Malaysia Airlines plane are, finally, to be flown to the Netherlands for identification. The operation to find the remaining bodies and secure crucial evidence continues…

My dearest friend and sister Liesl, My heart is here sharing with you and all who have been been affected with this tragedy the tears, pain and disbelief that so many innocent lives were taken. They are angels in heaven and we will always remember them. With love and prayers Carmen.
