Jesus Christ taught people how to treat each other by not thinking of yourself first, but actually helping others. I apologize for the people the call themselves Christians and have no idea of who or what Jesus stood for.
Jesus was the last sacrifice for the forgiveness for all sins, if you believe this you will not be separated from God when you pass away.

You probably hate a kind of Christian subculture that is prominent in the US. I don't like that kind of "Christianity" either. However, Christ (and those that follow him who do not conform to a set of religious beliefs) should be blamed for this.

How can anyone hate statements such as "Love your neighbor as you love yourself"? In today's consumerist, violence crazed, egocentric, relativistic society, these words are a comfort.
