The story is called "The Starfish" A young boy and his Father were walking along the beach and the Father observed his son remained constantly running on the beach frantically flinging the starfish back into the ocean. Finally after a long time watching the Father said, "You can't save them all son." The boy looked at his father and then at the starfish in his hand and back to his Father and said simply, "I can save this one."
