I really love this wallpaper and use it frequently. It was done in Bryce with only very minor touch-up post work in Photo Paint 8. While it looks fairly complicated, it really isn't. It's a cube with highly reflective texture applied, and only a couple or three cylinders with light-type textures stretched and rotated to go from one corner to an opposite one within the cube. The vast majority of intersecting lines are reflections of the two or three stretched cylinders, with it all grouped and then rotated a bit on all three axis to create that depth of field look.
