The scythe and the Grim Reaper is a druid invention because the scythe was holy to them

1: Why don't you tell me what's wrong about Jysa's opinion? 2: Take a few lessons in spelling then -SPEAK- and 3: BAD TROLL! No! *Sprays with a water bottle*

Jysafayra is absolutely correct. The original reaper in greek Mythology was depicted with no form. His name was Thanatos. Look it up. Later, after the Apocalypse, he became one of the four horsemen of death. He was then depicted on a horse and with a sword. It wasn't until Christianity took a role in it that the Grim Reaper got his Scythe. They called him the 'Harvester of Souls'. The scythe was an urban legend, an alibi really, that those who were killed in the fields by a scythe were taken by the Grim Reaper. I'm sure a lot of people saved their own necks using this as an excuse. Why else would a scythe be lodged in their fellow workers side? Oops.

Either way. This is a fantastic picture, and a great depiction of the Reaper.

Alright, you can think I'm incorrect but I didn't post that to argue with anyone. :) If you have a problem you can talk to me, maybe tell me why I'm wrong, but don't do it here.

This picture reminds me as to why the Grim Reaper was portrayed with a scythe to begin with. Due to the deadliness of the farmer's tool and the fact that during a good deal of wind, the scythe couldn't be heard cutting through the tall rows of wheat and when several people were working at once, one man could have been found dead because of a scythe wound. Of course none of the workers would admit to it and instead claimed that he was taken by the grim reaper which is why he's always portrayed with a scythe.. That, and it's pretty badass. :)
