On april 26th, 1986 an horrible accident occurred in reactor 4 on the Chernobyl nuclear plant. The city of Pripyat (which lies about 3km away from the power plant) was evacuated 36 hours after the accident. The 49.400 people that used to lived there where taken to Kiev and once they arrived there they got the news that they could never return to Pripyat. Now, 25 years later, the city is still abandoned and you can find marks everywhere of the life that used to be there. This shot has been taken in the hospital of Pripyat which could accommodate up to 410 patients at the same time and had 3 extra clinics.
