I lived within throwing distance of Paris for 12 years as a kid and didn't make my way to the Catacombs until I came back as an adult. It's quite creepy to see so many bones piled like that. The heart shape in this picture is even creepier. Walking down those long corridors really reminds you of your own mortality and your limited time here.
