A very typical style of old mom, pop single stop service station. Typically encompassed within such businesses was a single gas pump, service island, simple repairs, tire, service bay, air pump, country store with basic ammenties complete with lines of credit for the locals, and many times residences were attached. My grandfather actually had one very similar to this (with the attached home and external hand pump well). Really cool, and many fond thoughts of simpler times. Washboard floors, an old coal, wood stove inside, old timers sitting on overturned milk crates smoking pipes and spinning their yarns, and nickle sodas in bottles in the ice floor cooler. Granny cooking apple pie next door. Loved it!
